it is based on Greek word, "kroma" means colour. This separation was first used for the separation of colour, hence it got this name.
Chromatography is a technique used to separate those solutes of a mixture which are soluble in the same solvent. It is used to separate the colored components of a natural dye. The separation of different components of a mixture depends on their solubilities in the same solvent.
It is a modern technique used for the separation of a mixture of substances which when separated, formed distinct coloured rings. These zones are named as chromatograms. These days, chromatography is applied to coloured as well as colourless substances for analysis.
Principle :-
The principle on which paper chromatography work is very simple. The pulp in the filter paper used for chromatography, is composed of thin threads acting as cappillaries. Different soluble dyes move upwards at different speeds and to different levels, by capillary action. In the laboratory, a fine quality of ordinary filter paper can also be used.
Working :-
Example: Dye present in ink can be separated from ink by paper chromatography. The ink that is used has water as the solvent and dye is mixed in it to provide colour.
Depending upon the nature of the stationary and the mobile phases, the different types of chromatographic techniques commonly used are :-
Application of Chromatography:
Assertion : Moving phase is liquid and stationary phase is solid in paper chromatography. Reason : Paper chromatography is used for analysis of polar organic compounds. | |||

About Abhyas metholodology the teachers are very nice and hardworking toward students. The Centre Head Mrs Anu Sethi is also a brilliant teacher.Abhyas has taught me how to overcome problems and has always taken my doubts and suppoeted me.
Being a parent, I saw my daughter improvement in her studies by seeing a good result in all day to day compititive exam TMO, NSO, IEO etc and as well as studies. I have got a fruitful result from my daughter.
My experience was very good with Abhyas academy. I am studying here from 6th class and I am satisfied by its results in my life. I improved a lot here ahead of school syllabus.
I have spent a wonderful time in Abhyas academy. It has made my reasoning more apt, English more stronger and Maths an interesting subject for me. It has given me a habbit of self studying
My experience with Abhyas is very good. I have learnt many things here like vedic maths and reasoning also. Teachers here first take our doubts and then there are assignments to verify our weak points.
It was a good experience with Abhyas Academy. I even faced problems in starting but slowly and steadily overcomed. Especially reasoning classes helped me a lot.
It was good as the experience because as we had come here we had been improved in a such envirnment created here.Extra is taught which is beneficial for future.
It has a great methodology. Students here can get analysis to their test quickly. We can learn easily through PPTs and the testing methods are good. We know that where we have to practice
Abhyas Methodology is very good. It is based on according to student and each child manages accordingly to its properly. Methodology has improved the abilities of students to shine them in future.
Abhyas is a complete education Institute. Here extreme care is taken by teacher with the help of regular exam. Extra classes also conducted by the institute, if the student is weak.
